Anticipated Traffic

80-100 food orders (based on past years). We have over 250 members, most of which are families of 4 or more people. Evenings are our busiest time of day and we do not have a snack bar. We have scheduled the food truck evenings to coincide with swim team practice. We have over 100 swimmers on our team, and families love the convenience of picking up dinner on a busy work night.

Inclement Weather

Thunderstorms require us to close the pool for at least 30+ minutes. We monitor forecasts on Food Truck days, and make our decision to go forward, postpone or cancel by 1:00 pm the day of. Even when the weather has been spotty during the day, people still drop by for the food trucks, because they’ve planned that for dinner, and will come back even when the weather is less than ideal. However, our scheduled “postpone” date, if we do have to fully cancel on the planned night, is Thursday the same week. The form will ask you if you are able to hold the Thursday same week or not. This is completely optional.

      Capital Chicken & Waffles (CCW) is Washington DC’s first and only chicken and waffles food truck. Serving hungry patrons in and around the Nation’s Capital, CCW opened in January 2013 as one of only 19 food trucks chosen to serve during the Presidential Inauguration events. The truck, founded by 29-year-old entrepreneur Sharisse Barksdale, brings the classic combo of chicken and waffles to a city that was desperate for a taste of the South.

    • Food Truck: Charlies Bowl (Tex-Mex Korean Fusion)

      Food trucks are back! Come down to the pool and help yourself to some tacos, burritos, and more. Charlies Bowl is a food truck run by millennials who, after working in restaurants for many years, have been interested in entering the food truck business. In April of 2019, they finally decided to jump into it. Charlies Bowl serves a fusion of Tex-Mex and Korean using halal meat, creating a final product that delicious and out of the ordinary.

    • Food Truck: Crêpes Parfait

      Come down to the pool and help yourself to some crêpes. Crêpes Parfait serves authentic French gourmet crêpes both in the savory and the sweet variety, a selection of homemade drinks along with French dishes packaged ready to reheat at home. They use only all natural wholesome ingredients.

    • Food Truck: Dadge’s Kitchen (Filipino)

      Filipino flavors, American twist, taste the fusion! Try Cece's signature dish, Famous Crispy Lumpia Pack. It is incredibly flavorful and crispy, carefully crafted with authentic Southeast Asian spices, meat (beef, chicken or pork) mixed with carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and eggs. Served with sweet and sour dipping sauce.

    • Food Truck: DC Slices (Pizza)

      DC Slices is hot, fresh, thin-crust pizza, crispy sides and daily specials; made from two red-hot food trucks that serve lunch-goers and festival-seekers throughout the District, Maryland and Virginia. We are dedicated to offering our customers the freshest-possible product while providing excellent customer service. Our motto is: For pizza lovers, by pizza lovers.

      Simplicity goes a long way! DC SteakHolders is known for their popular cheesesteaks. They also offer chicken-n-cheese and veggie sandwiches.

    • Food Truck: Divine Swine (BBQ)

      Grab a bite at the pool and enjoy the picnic grounds. Every week brings you a different cuisine. This week Divine Swine brings BBQ to the pool! They smoke their meat old skool, outside, year round using a mix of Virginia applewood/lump charcoal.

      Discover the magic as your senses are captivated by the aroma of sizzling kabobs, meticulously crafted over an open flame. Fireside Kabob On Wheels has become a go-to spot for food lovers seeking succulent tender lamb and chicken over open flame.

      With decades of hospitality and culinary experience, we want to bring the simplicity of fresh local ingredients, a burst of robust flavor and a bit of nostalgia to our DC region, served with a phenomenal professional attitude! We’ve tasted a lot of pizza in our time, and we feel confident in saying it’s one of the better pizzas you’ll have!

    • Food Truck: Freed’s Biscuit Company

      Freed's Biscuit Company offers homemade from scratch breakfast biscuits, sandwiches, burgers, and cinnamon rolls. Their original sweet and savory biscuits are baked up fresh every day. They source most of their ingredients locally. Their buttermilk is made with local milk. The biscuits are made with local butter. The eggs and meat have been purchased from local farms. The bacon is cured for 10 days and then smoked right behind our restaurant. It really is a labor of love!

      Join us for a member-recommended food truck featuring Persian-Indian fusion cuisine. Jose Cux has been cooking for various Kabob restaurants for the past 15 years and is now bringing his cooking on the road with his Kabob Mix Food Truck.

      KT is a food truck fitted with a traditional, wood burning brick oven. We serve Neapolitan inspired wood fired pizzas using only the freshest ingredients to craft our delicious pies.
